Susanna Bair, a long time Sufi and meditation master, who co-founded the Institute for Applied Meditation with her husband Puran Bair, will be presenting a seminar in Austin on February 18 and 19th. The Heart Rhythm Meditation practices they teach were inspired by and come from Hazrat Inayat Khan's teachings.
She has made the cost for Saturday very reasonable to encourage people to attend. This would be a great opportunity to experience some of these meditation practices if you have not done so already.
Occupy Your Heart: Day 1 will give you an amazing experience of what it means to be in your heart.
You will learn about what dimensions of your energetic, emotional heart that you are comfortable dwelling within, and what dimensions need energy.
You will gain confidence as you get in touch with your heart's numb and wounded places, bringing breath, attention, and life into all parts of your heart.
As you occupy your heart fully and completely, you will unleash your ability to bring positive, meaningful change to the world. Day 1 can be enjoyed by itself, or along with Day 2.
Fee: $39 for one person, or $49 for two people together.
Occupy Your Heart: Day 2 will go much deeper into the experience of what it means to occupy your heart.
You will spend the day learning more about how your own heart has grown through your experiences, and you'll share personal meditations and consultations with Susanna, who will offer you an assessment of your heart's current development, and a vision of where your growth lies in the future.
Day 2 is limited to 12 participants; we recommend signing up early to reserve your space.
Fee: $199 per person.

Aziza Scott, M.Ed. is a Representative of The Sufi Order International and has been a student of the retreat process for over 25 years. She serves as head of the Esoteric School, and as Director of the Retreat Guide Training Program of the Sufi Order International, working closely first with Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan and now with Pir Zia. She brings to her seminars and retreats an insight gained from many years of guiding individual and group retreats throughout the United States and Europe. Aziza runs a retreat Center, in Western Massachusetts.
The Retreat will begin on Thursday evening, March 1st at 7:30 p.m. (check in at the park is 4:00 p.m. - rooms will be assigned at registration) and end mid-morning on Sunday, March 4th. Cost for the weekend is $250, includes retreat, cabin lodging at Chicot State Park, Louisana, and meals Friday thru lunch on Sunday. If not able to afford full cost, arrangements can be made with Akbar. No meal will be provided Thursday evening - please make arrangements for your meal before you arrive. On Sunday, sandwich fixings will be available for your lunch as we depart.
